Waiting Versus Receiving

The difference between waiting and receiving is expectation. Waiting puts the power of creation outside of yourself, whereas receiving is a state of openness to what is available - with no consideration of what or when that may be.

In waiting you cease useful action towards your goal. Waiting is the cessation of creation. It has a wiping your hands, “I am done” finality to it, which may sound counter intuitive, because waiting can feel physically painful and not final at all. When one embarks to “wait patiently” they have created a separation between themselves and their power to bring about the thing they are waiting for.

Receiving is a mode of being, which means any action you take from this state is inspired. Action from the state of receiving is rarely required for the receiving to occur, rather you become the vibration of receiving and you take action because perhaps that is what is required of you for day to day functioning.

How does one get into the vibration of receiving? Firstly, one must distract themselves out of the act of waiting. Take any distractive action, either towards that which you are waiting for, or in some completely unrelated area. Then, stop deciding that you know what is required and start playing with possibilities. Bloom into openness, innocence and play. To be in the act of questioning is to be without a fixed point of view. To be without a fixed point of view is to exist beyond limitation. To exist beyond limitation is to exist in the vibration of true receptivity.

And so – to ask is to vibrate in receiving.
